Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Fairly pungent. Marzipan dominates with toasted coconut flesh, toasted oak, toasted almond, dried apricot and cinnamon.
Taste:
Medium-bodied. Vanilla oak, nutmeg, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut, oolong tea and a tough of the marzipan that so dominates the nose.
Aftertaste:
Long, lightly spicy and moderately oaky finish with pleasing vanilla, almond and marzipan.
Overall:
As "gold" rums go this is rather good and more expressive than many.
