Serve in an

Old-fashioned glass
Ingredients:
40 ml Amaro (e.g. Montenegro)
40 ml Del Maguey Vida Clásico Mezcal

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange (or lime) zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. EXPRESS orange (or lime) zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

With the addition of 3 drops of chocolate bitters &/or served as a shot in clay mezcal copitas.

History:

Short for Monte y Mezcal, the M&M was created in 2015 by Marco Montefiori of Amaro Montenegro and popularised by Robert Krueger at Employee's Only in New York, USA.

So popular is this 50/50 mix of Montenegro and Mezcal served straight up as a shot among bartenders that the drink has gained the nickname Manager's Meeting.
