Ingredients:
30 ml Lime cordial (sweetened lime juice)
30 ml Hayman's London Dry Gin
15 ml Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
15 ml Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime zest twist (discarded) & lime wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

The two naval spirits sit harmoniously together in this delicately flavoured Gimlet.

History:

Created in 2010 by yours truly and named due to the Gimlet's Navy origins and British sailors being nicknamed 'limeys', thanks to mixing their daily rum ration of with lime or lemon juice and sugar to help prevent scurvy. The mixture was known as Grog.
